The NETWORK DATA COLLECTION MODULE is a small remote unit
that can gather large amounts of data and forward it to a central system. The
user can interrogate a wide variety of industrial equipment by monitoring a host
of analog and digital sensors. This information is then transferred via an RS232
or ETHERNET connection.
Numerous
modules can be used in a system to provide monitoring and reporting on a large
number of different units. Since each module has its own IP address, the only
practical limits on the system size is the network to which they are attached.
Also, since each module operates independently, there is no reduction in
data collection performance as the system grows.
