The
Remote Keypad is an accessory to be used in conjunction with a wide variety of
controllers. Essentially, it consists of two membrane switches with various key
and function labels.
There
are two basic types. The first contains all of the graphics on the face. The
second type contains a slip-in
label that allows the user to customize the legend for the keypad. However, the
individual keys will still be pre-labeled.
When
the slip-in label type is utilized, a small plastic strip is furnished in the
matching color in the label slot. This can be removed utilizing a small object,
such as a paper clip and labeled with any standard lettering machine. It may
then be slipped back in to provide a simple technique for specific labeling.
The
keys have a rating of 50 ma. at 30 VDC max. Their electrical connections are
brought out on a 3 inch lead and terminated in a pin connector. The mating pins
and connector housing are furnished with the keypad to make the appropriate
electrical connection.
There
are a variety of colors, legends and key labels available.
